Job Description:
Job Description: Assists in providing
technical support for one or many product(s) and/or product family.
Responsibilities may include: participating in new product development, representing the customers technical needs, creating competitive analysis from a technical perspective, developing and presenting technical product training materials.
Works with the sales team to help resolve customers technical questions, participates in customers visits, and presentations.
Owns creation and maintenance of data sheets and application notes. Individuals act as technical experts, consultants, analysts, and program managers.
Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.
Qualifications:
You must possess a Bachelor's degree and/or a Master 's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of five years of Hardware development, validation or technical support working experience in server/workstation products design and strong customer communication skills.
Additional qualifications include:
- Demonstrated experience in Intel Architecture (Xeon based) server board and system design, including developing the PCB assemblies of server system from concept to production.
- Multiple related electrical development experiences are required including: Cadence Concept Schematic Capture, reviewing PCB layout using Allegro tools, PCB interconnect schemes, Hot-swap and power components, understanding of mechanical chassis design, and multi board inter-operability schemes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-organizational technology and product development projects (requirements management, project planning, statement of work creation, execution management, risk management, budget management, etc.).
- Demonstrated experience developing and leading development of board and system products, including direct experience with mechanical, thermal, electrical, BIOS/firmware, and power design.
- Proven ability to lead cross-organizational teams where participants are not direct reports, motivate technical contributors, and spur innovation.
- Effective negotiation skills with proven abilities to achieve mutually successful business outcomes with internal organizations and external customers.
- Demonstrated tolerance of ambiguity with & and flexibility in managing customer changes
- Strong verbal and written English skills with a demonstrated ability to work across geographies, time zones, companies, and organizations.
Description:
This is a Hardware Engineer position in Mobile and Communications Group (MCG). In this position, you must provide technical support to OEM/ODM customers to develop Intel Atom processor based Tablet platforms. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to. :
- Providing direct or indirect OEM/ODM design support to ensure successful platform launch
- Resolving technical issues and answering technical questions for 1'st line customer interface teams
- Creating technical collateral including processor EDS, PCH EDS, platform Design Guide, CRB collateral, application notes...etc.
- Developing and presenting technical product training materials
- Contributing to Intel SW and HW product development by providing tech feedback to Intel product teams
- Potentially program managing key customer engagement projects like VCs
Qualifications:
You should possess a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with at least 6 years of related experience. Additional qualifications include :
- Recent experience in motherboard design or Intel(R) architecture platforms application engineering
- In-depth understanding of Intel(R) architecture platforms, including board design, product specs and high speed design principals.
- Knowledge and experience with firmware and software, and how it interacts with and relates to the hardware
- Ability to interact with both engineering teams and customers
- Demonstrated knowledge of schematic capture and layout tools for use in design reviews of customer platforms
- Experience working with OEM/ODM and experience developing 'customer ready' collateral and delivering training is highly desirable
- Capable of providing OEM/ODM design support to resolve Intel related technical issues, thus ensuring successful platform launch
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Experience leading a small team and/or cross geography issue management is a plus
